Administration Centers allow players to allocate additional facilities within their empire or deallocate facilities that are no longer required. The administration center interacts with station plots and plot partitions. Administation Centers are Job Managers and are built with one or more Offices. Offices are Job Executors which work in parallel against the Administration Center Job Queue.
Additionally, Administration Centers are used by Station owners to manage station renovations, resize the station, and allocate new plots out of unused space.
Within the Administration Center interface, all of the plots that the player owns within the same base of the Administration Center are displayed. Each plot shows the total volume that is allocated, volume available, and a list of all facilities that already exist within that plot. Players may allocate additional facilities within a plot provided there is enough space.
Allocating a plot partition is the first step in creating a new facility. Partitioning a plot will create a Construction Zone facility whose dimensions fit the partition that the player creates. Construction Zones allow players to build out the facility, add rooms, and install building and structural components. Once a Construction Zone is assembled, players may not deallocate the facility.
When creating a new facility, dimensions of the facility must be specified during the allocation step. Every facility has a minimum size of 2m³ and each dimension has a minimum length of 0.5m. Depending on the type of facility that is intended to be created, the dimensions may have significant effect (eg a Hangar's dimensions limit the size of ships that can be stored within the hangar. Externally Facing Sides can be selected for this facility to indicate that the facility's wall on that side is connected to the exterior of the base. Like dimensions, the exterior facing sides can have an effect depending on the type of facility (A docking bay door is determined by its externally facing side dimensions).
Facilities cannot be renovated or deconstructed until they are dezoned. Dezoning a facility will turn the facility back into a Construction Zone. As a construction zone, the facility will retain any equipment in any rooms that had been built out. Deconstructing the room will return the equipment back to your cargo bay. If the player converts the construction zone into another type of facility, the equipment will be retained within the rooms.
To deallocate a facility, it must be a Construction Zone and it must be fully disassembled. Deallocating a facility will return the allocated space back to the Plot to be used by other facilities or plot partitions.
Players that own a marketplace within the station may sell an unused plot within their marketplace. To sell a plot, it must be completely empty (No allocated facilities). The plot will be transferred to the buyer as a separate plot and will not be able to be resized or merged into any other plot.
To take a plot off the marketplace, go to the marketplace interface and remove it.
